Our Story

Gabriola Willow is a basket willow business founded by Rob and Karen in 2022 on Gabriola Island, BC as part of Cobnut Farm, our small-scale agroforestry farm.

Our mission is to provide the highest quality, locally-grown basket willow for craftspeople and artisans of all skill levels.

Our vision is the rebirth of a vibrant, craft-based culture and local economy centred on humans, working with their hands to the ancient rhythms of nature.

From planting to harvest, our farm is a labour of love, dedicated to soil health and biodiversity. We hand cut our willow in the winter and then dry it in our dedicated willow store before grading it by length in one foot increments from 2 feet to 8 feet, ready to be woven into your creations.
